In The Style Of Gustav Klimt

This year marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of artist Gustav Klimt. He was a master of pattern and colour. When I saw the Cubist stencil from Crafters Workshop and the Heart mask from Tando Creative I immediately thought of him.

I would like to share with you an artwork that I created using these stencils. I used the Flames stencil for the pattern effect but looking at it now she does look a little like Joan of Arc on a night out!

Materials Used:
Canvas Board
Gesso
Decoart acrylic paints
Daler Rowney: System 3 metallic acrylic paints
Crafters Workshop Stencils: Cubist and Flames
Tando Creative : Heart Background
Moulding paste

  2. Lina...I wanted to thank you so much for stopping by my blog and leaving such a sweet comment this morning. You made me feel so good. SO, thank you! I also am so happy that I stopped by YOUR blog. Your art is beautiful! I love your regal lady. She does put me in mind of Joan of Arc. :) Your use of the cubist stencils is gorgeous. Love the colors...so sharp and crisp against the lighter background. I also love the contrast of the red flames against her white dress. Beautiful work! Again, thank you for your very sweet words left on my blog. <3 Candy
